The Department of Interior Architecture Design is part of the College of Human Ecology in Hanyang University. The department focuses on the life environment in a macroscopic sense, including architecture, housing, and display as well as interior architecture design, going beyond the fine arts.
The Interior Architecture Design Department offers design education to develop creative and practical living and cultural spaces by exploring the relationship between people and the environment in detail for the diversified living environments of a cutting-edge information society. Students study how to construct space, focusing on the living environment. The Interior Architecture Design Department aims to offer space meeting the demands of new living environments for the 21st century, and ultimately improve quality of life.
The Department of Interior Architecture Design has a variety of laboratories. The department has an excellent infrastructure, with a multi-purpose laboratory for furniture and lighting and a CAD laboratory for computer-based practice in architecture and interior design. The department hosts a fall academic seminar for freshmen, sophomores and juniors and a graduation exhibition for seniors.
